Bear Down Gymnasium

Project Overview:

J.B. Steel fabricated and erected structural steel for the renovation and transformation of the historic Bear Down Gymnasium as part of the University of Arizona Student Success District. Working within a historic building presented unique challenges requiring field verification, detailed coordination, and the installation of new steel framing tied directly into existing structural elements. The completed steel package supported the conversion of a landmark campus facility into the Bear Down Building, extending its service life while preserving its connection to University of Arizona history.
