Step 1: Preconstruction Planning

Every successful project begins with a solid plan. Our team works closely with our general contractors project teams during the early stages of development to understand project requirements, identify potential challenges, and establish clear expectations before fabrication begins.

Early collaboration helps reduce risk, improve coordination, and create efficient solutions that support project schedules and budgets.

Step2: BIM & Coordination

J.B. Steel utilizes advanced Building Information Modeling and 3D detailing technology to improve coordination and project accuracy. Detailed models allow project teams to identify potential conflicts before construction begins, reducing costly field modifications and helping keep schedules on track.

Through collaboration with other trades and project teams, our BIM process creates greater certainty before steel reaches the jobsite.

Step 3: fabrication

As an AISC-Certified Fabricator, J.B. Steel performs 100% of its structural steel fabrication in-house. Our fabrication facility combines skilled craftsmen, certified welders, and advanced equipment to deliver precision-built components that meet exact project specifications.

Maintaining control over fabrication allows us to uphold consistent quality standards while responding quickly to changing project demands.

step 4: steel erection

Our experienced field crews perform all steel erection work, providing a seamless transition from fabrication to installation. Because our fabrication and erection teams work as one, communication remains consistent throughout the project, helping improve coordination, safety, and schedule performance.

From structural steel frames and joists to stairs, railings, and miscellaneous metals, our crews have the experience to execute projects of every size and complexity.
