Organizations We’ve Helped Over the Years

In the past several years, J.B. Steel has contributed to Habitat for Humanity, the University of Arizona College of Architecture, the Planning and Landscape Architecture Scholarship fund, the Lloyd Memorial Scholarship fund, Arizona Builders’ Alliance Southern Arizona Annual Volunteer Day, and the Sundt Foundations Mike Gaines Charity.

J.B. Steel employees volunteer their time to charities including the Arizona Builders’ Alliance Southern Arizona Annual Volunteer Day, Habitat for Humanity, and Angel Charity for Children.

Literacy Connects Demolition & Landscaping

Approximately fifty J.B. Steel employees and their family members participated in the Arizona Builders Alliance Volunteer Day at Literacy Connects on December 2, 2017. Demolition and landscaping were the areas of focus for our team.

Tucson Boys Chorus Concrete Pad

J.B. Steel employees and families showed up in force to support the Arizona Builders Alliance Volunteer Day at the Tucson Boys Chorus on December 3, 2016.

Tucson Boys Chorus Landscaping

Over thirty J.B. Steel employees and their family members stepped up to help the Tucson Boys Chorus by donating & installing a new steel ramada frame and helping to clean up the landscaping.
Since 1939, the Tucson Boys Chorus has been dedicated to providing boys in the community with an enriched educational experience through the study and performance of choral music.

Faith Lutheran School Gates & Railings

J.B. Steel employees installed gates and pipe railing at Faith Lutheran School. Faith Lutheran School has been part of the Tucson community since 1952. Over the years, the school has earned praise for its continuous improvement in student test scores AND consistently high levels of parent satisfaction.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Arizona

In 2008, Charles Albanese, the retired Dean of the University of Arizona College of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, designed a playful steel sculpture to decorate the entrance of the newly built RMHC facility.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Arizona provides comfort and support to families and children facing serious illness or injury. The Ronald McDonald House provides a “Home Away from Home” for families who must travel to Tucson for medical care.

J.B. Steel Installs New Playground Tower At Aviva Children’s Services

For 36 years, has strived to provide services to improve the quality of life for children who are victims of neglect, abuse and poverty, and in the care of the Department of Child Safety.

Aviva Children’s Services Outdoor Visit Center is currently under construction. The first of its kind in southern Arizona, this outdoor playing space is dedicated exclusively to help DCS families in the process leading to reunification.
